Enhance Your Health with Reiki
Would you like to be able to get rid of a headache or a sore muscle without medication? How about a cure for insomnia, or a way to remove stress and detoxify your body with no side effects?
Our bodies are composed of energy, and Reiki works to balance and harmonize this energy. Your body has an innate ability to heal itself, as evidenced by the healing of a wound. Reiki increases this ability and allows one to share it with others through touch.
Reiki heals pain on the physical level. It also heals patterns that lead to pain, sometimes without us even knowing it or being able to put words to it. Often we are well aware of the decisions we should make to create more happiness and health in our lives, but we seem to lack the energy or initiative to act. Reiki can help to access the energy that is blocked. When you use Reiki on yourself or another person, both you and that person benefit from the treatment. Reiki often provides relief when other methods fail. It can also be used for mental/emotional healing and sending healing to others long distance. Reiki can never do harm.
Reiki is a gentle, yet powerful form of touch therapy used for healing and balancing oneself and others. It is wonderful for pain and stress relief, and so simple that anyone, even children, can use.
While Reiki’s origins go back to ancient Tibet, Reiki as we know it today has been practiced extensively in Japan for hundreds of years, and was introduced to the rest of the world only in the last fifty years. It is believed that Reiki works at an atomic level, causing the body’s molecules to vibrate at a higher intensity to dissolve energy blocks which manifest as imbalance, pain, and eventually as disease.
Today, Reiki is practiced worldwide by thousands who know it to be complementary to all other forms of bodywork and health care. It is non-invasive and one of the few forms of healing work one can use on oneself.
Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore, MD, has created an entire unit for research into non-traditional healing methods, including Reiki. The U.S. Navy Medical Services have incorporated Reiki into some of their latest medical training programs, and doctors worldwide are finding that patients heal faster with Reiki treatments.
Reiki sessions are done fully clothed and take one to one and a half hours. A series of 3 sessions works best. The cost per session is $50 in studio, or $80 for house calls. In addition, Young Living Essential Oils can be included in the Reiki session. These are therapeutic grade oils which speed the healing process and enhance the effects of Reiki. They work on both the physical and emotional level as Reiki does, and can be applied topically or breathed through aromatherapy.
There are 3 levels of Reiki training. In Level I, you will learn about Reiki and its origins, how to give a full body treatment on yourself and others, receive first degree attunements, and be certified as a Reiki Practitioner. In Level II, you will learn symbols which are used for increasing the power of Reiki energy, for mental/emotional healing, and for sending Reiki long distance. Master Level is offered for those wanting to teach Reiki.
The cost for Level I training is $100, and takes a few hours one on one or 6 hours in a class. Level II costs $150 and takes several hours. Master Level/Reiki Teacher training costs $500 and is taught one on one.
